Two dead in Gulmi road mishap

By Top Lal Aryal, Gulmi, Jan. 2: Two died when a bus and a motorcycle collided on the Phulbari-Ishma inner unpaved road section at Ramche, Malika Rural Municipality-6 of Gulmi district.

Two people died when a bus (Lumbini Province 01-00Kha 0355) of Siddha Ellis Boarding School, heading towards Purkot in Madane Rural Municipality-6, collided with a motorcycle (Lu 9 Pa 8150) coming from the opposite direction.

The deceased have been identified as Basanta Aryal, aged 36, and Manakala Aryal, aged 56, of Malika Rural Municipality-6. They were confirmed dead by Gulmi Hospital, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Gulmi, Ganga Bahadur Saru.

DSP Saru said that 6-year-old Anubhav Giri, who was on the motorcycle, and 41-year-old Lilawati Aryal, who was on the bus, sustained injuries.

The bus driver, Chura Bahadur Thapa, aged 41, of Jaisithok, Dhurkot Rural Municipality-4, Gulmi, and both vehicles are under police control.
