By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Jan 1: Lumbini World Peace Forum in support with Sun Nepal Life Insurance distributed warm clothes to the need and planted fruit sapling in Surkhet.
In a joint initiative to promote environmental sustainability and social welfare, Sun Nepal Life Insurance Company and the Lumbini World Peace Forum organized a plantation and warm clothes distribution program at the historic Bulbule Park in Surkhet, read a press note issued by Lumbini World Peace on Wednesday.

To support the "Green Earth" initiative,
the organizers planted a total of 1,000 fruit-bearing trees within the premises
of Bulbule Park. The plantation included: 450 Guava saplings, 450 Amala
(Gooseberry) saplings and 100 Avocado saplings.
This drive aims to transform the park into a productive green space while contributing to the local ecosystem.
Distribution of Warm Clothes
Addressing the challenges of the winter season, the
organizations distributed essential winter wear to 77 individuals from the
local community. The distribution included: 77 Jackets, 40 Woolen Sweaters, 8
Woolen Caps.
The program was formally inaugurated by Raj Kumar
Arya, CEO of Sun Nepal Life Insurance Company, alongside Basu Gautam, Founder
and President of the Lumbini World Peace Forum.
During the event, CEO Raj Kumar Arya emphasized the company’s commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), stating that protecting the environment and serving the community are core values of the institution. Basu Gautam highlighted the vital link between environmental conservation and global peace.
