By Ganga Kumari Mijar, Vauch Prasad Yadav, Rasuwa/Kathmandu, Dec 29: Rasuwagadhi border checking point of Nepal-China border resumes from Dec 28.
The border checking point re-opened after the reconstruction of Miteri bridge of Rasuwagadhi. The bridge was damaged during July 8 flooding.
Chief District Officer of Rasuwa Rajesh Panthi has informed that truck drivers of cargo vehicles have started movement towards Kerung from Monday morning.
There is decision to open the Nepal-China border from 1st of January once the technicality test of the belly bridge of Lhende river is succeeded.
Chief of Rusuwa custom office Tulsi Prasad Bhattari informed that construction of the new belly bridge of Rasuwa is completed and people have started travelling across the bridge from Sunday.
Cargo vehicles and traders will be permitted to travel through the bridge from January 1.
A notice issued from the Chinese side stated that visitors involved in transportation of freight will allow entry from Sunday.
Foreign trading companies are required to inform the relevant authority in advance and drivers and staffs will be required to complete necessary documentary process and loading of truck before the entry.
Police Inspector of Timure, Bikram Kuwar informed that representatives of business firms departed for Kerung to manage the cargo containers stocked in the Kerung side since July 8.
Chief of Galchi-Trishuli-Melung-Syafrubesi Rasuwagadhi project Engr Krishnanath Ojha informed that only one lane of the road could be used at this point as the damaged road is yet to be completely reconstructed.
