By Ajay Chhetri, Kathmandu, Dec 18: Minister for
Physical Infrastructure and Transport, Kul Man Ghising, has said that
unavailability of construction material is causing the delay in the building of
mega infrastructure project.
The Minister said so while addressing the national
level Gorkhapatra Discourse on economic recovery and resilience held today to
mark the 60th Anniversary of The Rising Nepal and 125 years of
publication of the Gorkhapatra daily.
The Minister elaborated that the delay in project construction has chain effects as the capital mobilization gets stalled.
Minister Ghising said that there is need to declare
development decade to accelerate development process.
20 per cent of NEA share needs to go to the market,
which will draw Rs. 200 billion from the market for investment in transmission
lines and building hydropower projects, said Minister Ghising.
