Food Management Company begins purchasing rice
Dodhara Chandani (Kanchanpur), Nov 2: The Food Management and Trade Company is purchasing rice from today. Branch Chief of the Company, Mahi Karan Mahara, informed that the Company was purchasing rice from farmers as per the support price of their produce.
Five quintals of rice will be bought by the Company from Kanchanpur district this year. "The amount will be increased as per need," he said, admitting that the trade company was not able to purchase the rice as targeted in the previous years.
It had aimed at buying as much as 15,000 quintals of rice last year, but only 20 percent of it- 2,951 quintals of rice. (RSS)
