Three people reportedly fall to death in Baitadi

Baitadi, Oct 30: Three people reportedly died in separate incidents of falling from cliffs in Baitadi.     

Police identified the deceased as Bhim Singh Rawat, 55, of Pachakora in Melauli municipality-7; Indra Singh Saud, 61, of Barulojani in Shivanath rural municipality; and Haruli Karki, 58, of Dhand in Dilasaini rural municipality-7.     

Rawat, who had gone to observe the Shivanath Dham religious fair on Wednesday, did not return home.     

Following a search, his lifeless body was found this afternoon approximately 500 meters below Olya Cliff in Shivanath, according to District Police Office Spokesperson and Police Inspector Baladev Badu.     

Saud also died after falling from a cliff while returning from observing the Shivanath Dham fair, police said.     

Similarly, Karki, who had been missing since Wednesday, was found dead at the base of a cliff. She had reportedly gone to collect fodder at Nyaute. Further investigations into all incidents are underway.(RSS)
