CAVA volleyball: Sri Lanka defeats Nepal

Kathmandu, Oct 27: Nepal lost to Sri Lanka in a match held the Central Asia Volleyball Association (CAVA) Cup men's volleyball tournament.

In the match held today at Dhaka, Bangladesh, Nepal was defeated by Sri Lanka in straight sets 3-0. With this, Nepal has suffered its fourth defeat in the tournament, with just one win so far.

With four points from five matches, Nepal remains in fifth place in the points table. Earlier, Nepal had lost to Turkmenistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh. It defeated the Maldives.

In today's match, Nepal lost the first set by 18-25, second by 17-25 and the third set by 20-25 points.

Nepal will face the Maldives tomorrow for the fifth place playoff in this tournament. A total of 6 Central Asian nations are taking part in the tournament. (RSS)
