Dang, Oct. 27: Writer and journalist Sabin Priyasan has released his 12th novel, ‘Kalo Man’, which has recently hit the market.

Based in Ghorahi, Priyasan has been active in literature and journalism for a long time. His latest work was unveiled at a special ceremony.

Priyasan, regarded as Nepal’s second most prolific novelist, had published another novel, ‘Kadi’, just in April.

Within a span of six months, he has come up with another book for his readers.

‘Kalo Man’ spans 208 pages. According to the author, the novel centres on a love story between a young entrepreneur who succeeds in agriculture and a young woman who pursues medical studies after a long struggle.

He shared that the novel also weaves in multiple sub-stories carrying strong social messages.

Priyasan explained that the title ‘Kalo Man’ (Dark Heart) symbolically means negative thoughts and the novel delivers a message that one can overcome negative thoughts and succeed in any field through determination.

Prior to this, Priyasan has published the novels Rodan Pachhiko…, Bhumari, Punaragaman, Pallavi, Sahansheela, Selfie, Lucky Charm, Breakup Diary, Lockdown Love, Airhostess and Kadi.

He has also released a short story collection and a compilation of editorials.

Actively involved in literature, journalism and social service, he has been honoured with the ‘Bibhushan Samman’ by the federal government, along with dozens of awards from district to national level.
