Kathmandu, Oct 20: Minister for Education, Science and Technology, Mahabir Pun, has said the Ministry would take an appropriate move to enforce the report prepared by the committee on search and study of the land belonging to the Tribhuvan University.
Some of the points raised by the committee report would be forwarded to the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA), said Minister Pun, adding that the report divulged the fact that the land owned by TU was encroached up by various elements and used illegally. "Based on the report finding and suggestions, the Ministry writes to CIAA for necessary action," he added.
The Minister said it during a press meet organized today- for the first time since he assumed office. He, however, said the committee report was incomplete warranting an in-depth study and investigation. The government was for conducting another search based on the present report.
Minister Pun further informed that complaints were being received even on the grabbing of land owned by the Sudurpaschim University, for which investigation would be forwarded.
