Kathmandu, Oct 14: Nepal's economic growth rate stood at 4.61 percent with its size appeared to reach around Rs 61.07 trillion and 220 million in the previous fiscal year of 2081/82 BS.
According to the previous fiscal year's Annual Report unveiled by the Ministry of Finance today, a total of 81.33 percent or Rs 15.12 trillion and 980 million was spent out of appropriated budget of Rs 18.60 trillion and 300 million for the last fiscal year.
Of the appropriation of Rs 11.40 trillion and 670 million under recurrent expenditure, Rs 9.56 trillion and 360 million or 83.84 percent was found spent.
Likewise, on the allocation of Rs 3.52 trillion and 350 million under the capital expenditure, Rs 2.23 trillion and 940 million or 63.56 percent, was spent.
In terms of financial management, out of Rs 3.67 trillion and 280 million allocated, Rs 3.32 trillion and 670 million or 90.58 percent was spent, the report stated.
In the last fiscal year, total revenue collection stood at around Rs 11.96 trillion and 190 million.
Out of the amount, tax revenue was roughly Rs 10 trillion, 49 billion and 870 million while non-tax revenue Rs 1 trillion, 28 billion and 940 million, and other receipts Rs 17 billion and 370 million, the ministry reported.
Compared to the on-budget revenue collection target of Rs 14 trillion 19 billion and 303 million, around 84.28 percent of the target was attained.(RSS)
