Octogenarian dies of hornet sting

Lamjung, Oct 13: An elderly person died of hornet sting in the district.  

The victim was Yagya Nidhi Tiwari, 82, from Beshisahar municipality-11 in the district. He had been receiving treatment at Old Medical College, Chitwan after being stung by hornet on Sunday evening. 

Information on his death was shared by Shiva Prasad Joshi, chair of ward no 11 from Beshisahar municipality. "Tiwari was seriously injured by the hornet sting in the locality. Although he was rushed to the Province Hospital, Lamjung, he was later referred to better health facility," he added.

Information Officer at District Police Office, Lamjung, Raj Koshor Shah, informed that Tiwari's lifeless body would be kept in Chitwan-based Hospital to conduct a postmortem. The concerned family would receive the body thereafter. (RSS)
