Gold price continues climb

Kathmandu, Oct 9: The rise in the price of gold in the international market has its fallout in the domestic market as well. Accordingly, gold has become dearer by Rs 1,200 today compared to its price on Wednesday.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association, gold was traded at Rs 238,000 per tola (11.66 grammes) on Wednesday and the price has increased by Rs 1,200 to reach Rs 239,200 today.

The price of silver has also increased. On Wednesday, one tola of silver was traded at Rs 2,955, whereas today the same amount of silver is being traded at Rs 3,025, according to the Federation.

International media have reported that today one ounce of gold is trading at four thousand fifty-five US dollars in the international market.(RSS)
