Five Nepali scientists among 100 Asian scientists' list

Kathmandu, Sept 25: Five Nepali scientists have been selected in the list of 100 Asian scientists. According to the list recently published by the 'Asian Scientist Magazine', the selected individuals include Frenshon Pradhan from Kathmandu University, Raju Acharya from Friends of Nature, Rinjin Phunjok Lama from Independent Conservation Biologists, Dr Shailendra Giri from Rapti Engineering College, and Tista Prasai Joshi from Nepal Academy of Science and Technology.     

After being included in the list of eminent scientists, Dr Giri told the Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS) that he was encouraged to contribute more to the country. He has been working in the field of information technology and is also a former executive director of the Local Development Training Institute and the Nepal Administrative Staff College.     

He further pledged his role in intellectual and practical advancement by collaborating with private and government sectors in information technology.(RSS)
