By Sahadev Basnet, Jajarkot, Sept.8: The lack of a bus park in Khalanga, the district headquarters of Jajarkot, has created a hassle for parking vehicles. Even after 20 years since the district became a motorway, no parking lot has been allocated.
Vehicles are parked in the temporary place, Shanti Chautara, the district headquarters, Khalanga, where vehicles are crammed.
Vehicles are being parked at Zero Point Shanti Chautara and Tallo Thaple Road on the Jajarkot-Dolpa Road.
Transport entrepreneur Deepak Buda said that there is a big problem in parking vehicles due to the lack of a spacious and organized bus park.
Buda said that drivers face problems due to the lack of spacious space to park and while turning their vehicles.
Locals are facing hassle as vehicles are being parked in front of houses, shops and hotels of local.
Ward Chair of Bheri Municipality-4 Basanta Prasad Sharma said that unorganized parking is accident prone.
He said that they are taking initiatives to end this compulsion.
Vehicles are parked at places such as Bora, Kharekhola, Shanti Chautara, Baglung Hotel, Thantibazar, Vetnaridanda, Thaplechaur, and Gairikhali.
Nabaraj Singh, president of the Jajarkot Transport Entrepreneurs Association, said that even the district-based stakeholders have not paid attention to the construction of a bus park.
More than two hundred means of transportation, both small and large, are in operation in the district.
