Kathmandu, Sept 7: Director General of the Department of Water Resources and Irrigation, Mitra Baral, has been honoured with the Civil Service Award 2025 for his excellent service in the field of water resources and irrigation.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Urban Development Prakash Man Singh presented the award along with a certificate to Baral at a program organized here today on the occasion of Civil Service Day 2025.
The Civil Service Day is being celebrated today by organizing a variety of programs under the theme 'Professional and Creative Administration: Development, Prosperity and Good Governance'.
Minister for Federal Affairs and General Administration Bhagwati Neupane, Chief Secretary Eaknarayan Aryal, Secretary for Federal Affairs and General Administration Ravilal Pantha were present on the occasion.
The government has been celebrating Civil Service Day by organizing various programs since 2061 BS to commemorate the promulgation of the Civil Service Act for the first time on Bhadra 13, 2013 BS during the time of the then Prime Minister Tanka Prasad Acharya. (RSS)
