Lalitpur, Sept 6: The second day of the CPN (UML)'s statute general convention today began an hour late following a road accident involving a delegate to the convention. A vehicle carrying the delegate hit a girl at Harisiddhi in Lalitpur, leading to road obstruction.
Meanwhile, informing that the girl has been sent to the hospital for treatment with the party bearing all the medical expenses, UML Chair and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has wished the girl a speedy recovery. He expressed concern over the act of some individuals trying to disrupt the general convention taking over the accident.
"The girl who was hit by the vehicle has been taken to the hospital. It was not intentional. The party will bear all her medical expenses. I express sorrow over the incident. Sometimes such unpleasant incidents happen," said Chair Oli. "We are all saddened by the incident and wish the girl a speedy recovery."
In the meantime, at the convention, being held at Sunrise Convention Hall in Godavari, Lalitpur, three reports are being presented today. The reports of the Election Commission, Accounts Commission and Disciplinary Commission are being presented.
On Friday, Chair KP Sharma Oli's presented a political report, Vice Chair Bishnu Poudel tabled the statute amendment proposal, General Secretary Shankar Pokharel presented the organizational report while Advisory Council Chair Amrit Bohora presented his report. (RSS)
