Gautam receives KEEP awards for environment protection efforts

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Sept 5: The Kathmandu Environmental Education Project (KEEP) has awarded Basu Gautam, the founder of the Basu Gautam Forum, for the leadership qualities and for the ongoing efforts for the success of the "1 Million Trees Plantation and Conservation Initiative". 

Gautam received the recognition in the forum's efforts for environmental protection and sustainability.

Since 2019, Lumbini World Peace Forum has undertaking "1 Million Trees Plantation and Conservation Initiative" throughout Nepal in collaboration with diverse groups and institutions, according to the press note issued by the Basu Gautam Forum.

Envisaged by Dr. Chandra Gurung, a master of sustainable and responsible tourism guided the formation of the forum and it has flourished under his influence in the community conservation of the neighboring eco-systems.

"I feel this order is given to the collective structure and reinforced the 1 million trees initiative, ' said Mr. Gautam, 'to cultivate the pristine land of our beautiful country.'

Last year, Lumbini World Peace Forum and KEEP Partnered for the cause of sustainability to endorse community actions to combat climate change in rural communities.
