Tanahun, Sept. 3: The shooting of the Nepali film ‘Malati Mangale’ has officially begun in Tanahun with an auspicious start.
The inauguration was held at Dhorbarahi Temple in Shuklagandaki Municipality. The Shuklagandaki Chamber of Commerce and Industry welcomed the film unit.
The film is being produced by popular singer Ram Krishna Dhakal.
Dhakal said that the shooting of the film will take place in Raipur’s Kholakhet, Ghimire Village, Kolma (on the Tanahun–Syangja border), and other locations in Shuklagandaki.
On the occasion of the inaugural ceremony, Deputy Mayor of Shuklagandaki Municipality, Khumbahadur BK Raju, welcomed the film team, expressing hopes that the film would contribute to promoting tourism. He further remarked that film production would support both tourism and the local economy.
According to Dhakal, Malati Mangale portrays the story of a couple struggling in love. The film also incorporates humor and social messages. Singer Dhakal, now turned film producer, said, “The film aims to present a beautiful love story with an important social message.”
The film will be directed by Praku Pandey. The lead roles will feature Bijay Baral, Barsha Raut, Meksham Gaudel, Shaku Shah, Suvarn Thapa, Prakash Ghimire, Sarita Giri, Sushma Niraula, Sunil Tamang, Umesh Sunam, Suchitra Upreti, and Sagar Bhattarai.
The script and dialogues are written by Sanyog Gurungain. Co-producers include Rabin Shrestha, Babu Subedi, Manoj Bajgain, and Ishwar Bajgain. The film is being produced under the banner of Rani Music in collaboration with Uni Entertainment. Music has been composed by Rajanraj Siwakoti.
