By Ram Krishna Bohara, Baglung, Sept 2: Judge Sita Sharma Adhikari, who has been transferred to the Baglung District Court, has been welcomed.

Adhikari is the first female judge to come to the Baglung District Court. The Baglung High Court Bar Association welcomed Adhikari amid a program hosted by the association.

Addressing the program, Judge Adhikari said that she would take initiatives to make the administration of justice efficient.

She said, "The bar and the bench are supposed to provide justice to the common citizen together, so there is no alternative to going all together. If there is any procedural error, the bar should give the bench a chance to correct it."

She said that the Bar and the Bench will cooperate, understanding that the main task is to provide justice to the best of their ability.

Senior advocate Padmanath Sharma said that Baglung is the first district court to have a woman as a judge, expressing his belief that the judiciary can become more women-friendly and easier and simpler than before when the bar president is also a woman.

Adhikari has been transferred from the District Court, Morang, to Baglung.

Earlier, Ramesh Kant Adhikari was the District Judge in the court. He has been transferred to Rupandehi.
