Five-month-old pregnancy lost in Saptari in a scuffle between sisters in law

 By Binay Karna, Saptari (Kalyanpur), Aug.25:A woman miscarried in a dispute over placing a brick in the road at Kalayanpur, Khadak Municipality-7 of Saptari. Sister in laws, 40-year-old Jibachha  Devi Sah, and younger sister in law Lalita Devi Sah were fighting over placing a brick in the road at 10:40 AM on August 20, where Lalita miscarried a five-month-old pregnancy. 

Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Saptari, Jitendra Kumar Basnet, said that the argument escalated to the use of force, where Lalita sustained injuries in the stomach, thereby leading to a miscarriage. Even after suffering an injury in the stomach, Lalita did not visit the hospital at first and later miscarried after suffering heavy stomach pain while receiving treatment at the Gajendra Narayan Singh Hospital (GNSH) in Rajbiraj. 

"Doctors confirmed that she had a miscarriage during treatment," Basnet said.

According to the District Police Office, Saptari, the accused in the assault, Jibachha  Devi Sah, is absconding, and the search for her is ongoing. After receiving information about the incident, a police team deployed from the Area Police Office, Kalyanpur, is conducting further investigation.
