By TRN Online, Kathmandu, Aug 22: Nepal Intellectuals' Organisation has asked India and China to make correction in their agreement related to Lipulek in view of historical documents, evidence and Nepal's relations with them.
Issuing a
press statement on Thursday, the Organisation objected to the point number 9 of the recently
formulated understanding between India and China to manage the border which
talks about resuming trade and mobility of people through Lipulek border point,
terming the agreement an internationally regrettable matter, particularly in the
context that Nepal has already communicated officially both with India and
China about Lipulek being Nepal's territory.
The statement
undersigned by its senior vice-chairman Nilkantha Tiwari also drawn the
attention of the government of Nepal to resolve border dispute with India
through dialogue.
