By Santosh Dahit, Dang, Aug. 20: A total of seven people sustained injuries when a bus met with an accident in Beljhundi, Dang.
Bus (Ra 1 Kha 3251) en route from Tulsipur to Ghorahi met with an accident in Beljhundi Dang on Tuesday night.
According to the District Police Office, the accident occurred near the petrol pump, in Majgai, Tulspir Sub-Metropolitan City-17, along the Tulsipur-Ghorahi road section, when a bus suddenly went out of control and overturned on the south side of the road.
According to the Spokesperson of the Area Police Office, Tulsipur, Police Inspector Surya Rana, there were eight passengers, including the bus driver, on board the bus.
The injured have been discharged after receiving treatment at the local health post.
The injured have been identified as 17-year-old co-driver Dabit Pun Magar of Ghorahi-10, 35-year-old bus owner Ganesh Gharti Magar of Ghorahi-13, 22-year-old Rupa Bohara of Ghorahi-3, 28-year-old Geeta BK of Ghorahi-3, 33-year-old Jogiram Chaudhary of Ghorahi-9, 43-year-old Santosh DC of Ghorahi-11, and 22-year-old Rabi Budhamagar of Tulsipur-17, Majgai.
The road, which was blocked after the pole fell when a bus hit an electric pole, has been reopened after the line was immediately cut and repaired.
The search for the absconding driver, Narayan Kunwar, is underway. He flew from the accident site after the accident.
