Monsoon waning

Kathmandu, Aug 20: With the low pressure belt of monsoon towards south of the average range, the monsoon effect is decreasing gradually in the country. The Weather Forecasting Division, however, said the wind with water vapor is entering Nepali from the Bay of Bengal. 

Some hilly regions of Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces are predicted to have generally cloudy weather, while remaining places partly cloudy today. Similarly, some places of hilly region in Lumbini, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces are likely to have moderate rainfall.

It will be generally cloudy in the hilly region of Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces, while Madhes, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces will have moderate rainfall coming night. Few places in hilly region of Koshi and Gandaki provinces are predicted to experience heavy rainfall.  (RSS)
