Kathmandu, Aug. 6: Senior culture expert and writer Ram Dayal Rakesh’s latest book ‘Desh-Bidesh Ka Samjhana’ was launched in Kathmandu recently.
The book was launched on his 83rd birthday that is 25th July. The book is the writer’s sixth travelogue.
The book was unveiled by senior writer and industrialist Ghanshyam Rajkarnikar amid a function.
Working as a Nepal government’s senior officer for decades, Rakesh has visited more than 18 countries.
In his latest book, he has penned his travel experiences of his home country along with of several foreign lands.
The book includes six chapters on his domestic travel experiences as well as 10 chapters on his foreign tours.
Rakesh is still active as a columnist and opinion writer and continuously writes in various news papers and magazines on cultural and social issues.
The book has 100 pages and is published by Shimal Book Publication, Kathmandu. The writer has written around 50 books in four languages- Nepali, English, Maithili and Hindi.
