Madhesh farmers busy planting paddy after rain

By Vijay Kumar Sah, Dhalkebar, Aug 3: After a long dry spell, farmers of Madhesh Province become busy planting paddy with the arrival of rain. 

Since Friday, rainfall has been occurring across the province.

Dhanusha's Mithila Municipality - 3, Hariharpur Farmer Manoj Mahato said that after a prolonged drought, rain restored life in the farming sector.

He said that paddy plantation had faced a serious affect due to a lack of rain in June and July. 

"Planted paddy fields were affected by the drought, but now the rain has given new life to the plantation." He said.

Dhalkebar's other farmer, Ram Ekwal Yadav, also said that farmers become happy with the arrival of rain.
