Dubai, June 3: Former minister and Member of Parliament (MP) Bhagwati Chaudhary and photo journalist Ramita Chhunju have been awarded for their contribution in the field of politics and photo journalism, respectively, in the second edition of the International Women Parliament Conclave & Iconic Women Award.
Chaudhary was awarded in the Leadership and governance style from Nepal genre and Chhunju was awarded in the photo journalist genre in the 2nd International Women Parliament and Iconic Female Award, 2025, which was organized on July 30 in Dubai on the occasion of the International Parliament Day.
This global event was conducted in line with bringing together women leaders and change-makers to discuss empowerment, leadership, and create a space for dialogue.
The conference, organized by the International Women Parliament, founded by Namita Ghimire of Nepal, also formally launched the international women's empowerment campaign called Project 100.
The 2025 conclave brought together delegates from various countries, including India, Nepal, Bangladesh, USA, UK, France, Kenya, Mexico, and more, showing strong global unity for gender equality and women’s leadership.
It featured powerful sessions on governance, social justice, entrepreneurship, technology, and sustainable development and people who have contributed significantly in the field of education, technology, health, corporate, agriculture, entrepreneurship and politics.
