Nainpur (Siraha), June 19: The Dawartol-Nainpurtol Water Supply Project has been completed in the Dhangadhimai Municipality, Ward No 11, 12, and 13.
The project has been completed at a cost of Rs 109.4 million, five years after construction began.
The Federal Water Supply and Sewerage Management Project in Janakpur stated that 1,500 households will benefit from the project.
Minister for Water Supply Pradeep Yadav inaugurated the project today. On the occasion, Minister Yadav said that the dream of consumers in these three wards to drink pure water for years has been realized today.
He stated that the government is committed to providing safe and adequate drinking water to citizens across the country through collaboration with the local levels.
Ministry's Secretary Er Pramila Devi Shakya Bajracharya said that the policy and plans of the ministry aim to ensure a safe, reliable, and sustainable drinking water service by centering on the interests and welfare of citizens.
Similarly, the Director General of the Water Supply and Sanitation Department, Er Ramu Kumar Shrestha, shared that the Department is prioritizing the implementation of drinking water projects in areas with low human development index and is preparing to implement policy reforms to operate 280 incomplete projects in Madhes.
The Health and Population Minister of Madhes Province, Sathrudhan Prasad Singh, and the Mayor of Dhangadhimai Municipality, Shivashankar Mahto, expressed their happiness that the drinking water project completed here has provided a long-term solution to the local drinking water problem.(RSS)
