Case filed against sub-engineer for securing job by submitting fake certificate

By Binay Karn, Kalyanpur (Saptari), June 17: A corruption case has been filed against the then sub-engineer of Tilathi Koiladi Rural Municipality in Saptari for allegedly securing a job by submitting fake educational qualification certificates.

The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) filed a case against the then sub-engineer Deependra Kumar Jha in a special court on Monday.

As per the notice issued by the CIAA, it states that Jha got a contract job by presenting compromised educational certificates.

 Devi Prasad Thapaliya, assistant spokesperson for the CIAA, said that during the investigation into the filed complaint, the educational certificates were found to be compromised.

The authority said that Jha secured his job in the rural municipality by submitting a fake education certificate stating that he had passed a diploma in civil engineering from the Institute of Engineerin,g Western Region College, Lamachaur, Pokhara, under Tribhuvan University.
