By Arjun Karki, Baglung, June 17: Nepali Congress spokesperson and former Finance Minister Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat has said that the constitutional amendment needs to be moved forward at the earliest.
Addressing the press conference organized by the Press Union Nepal (Baglung branch) on Tuesday, Mahat said that the current ruling coalition had mentioned amending the constitution based on a seven-point agreement and that the process needs to be initiated immediately.
"Although it was said that the constitution will be amended through a seven-point agreement, it has been delayed due to various reasons; however, it should not be delayed," he said.
He said, "This process needs to be initiated immediately, and the process should be taken forward based on the findings of which points need to be amended, by analyzing the existing problem and studying it in line with the experience of implementing the constitution so far."
