blog

Tulsipur, June 14: Rapti Provincial Hospital, Tulsipur has been waiting for the repair of conked out dialysis machines for over a year. Five out of 14 such essential medical equipment to treat kidney patients are left in dysfunctional state.

Dialysis section chief in the hospital, Lina Badel, informed that the hospital needs engineers from Kathmandu to repair the dysfunctional machines, but they did not come despite repeated requests. "Maybe, they did not come, for the machines are of old design. The machines left conked out have created huge problems in regular treatment."

Due to insufficient dialyses facility in the hospital, the patients are forced to leave for Ghorahi, Lamahi and Butwal. The patients in need of dialyses visit the Rapti Hospital from Dang, Salyan, Rukum Purba, Rukum Paschim, Rolpa and Pyuthan districts. (RSS)
