Schools in Gorkha closed due to extreme heat

Gorkha, June 12: All the schools in Palungtar municipality of Gorkha district have been closed from today due to extreme heat.

A decision was taken to close all community and institutional schools in the municipality for two day after students started facing health issues, said Mayor Bibash Chintan.

The teaching learning activities would resume regularly from June 15, according to the municipality. 

Similarly, Aanbukhaireni rural municipality has also given holiday in all community and institutional schools for two days from today. 

The decision was taken to give holiday for two days in view of health issues of students due to extreme heat. Issuing a notice, the rural municipality requested all to adopt necessary precautions to escape the rising temperature.  (RSS)
