By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, June 11: Nepathya captivated audiences in Chicago, USA, with an electrifying performance that drew great participation from a hall packed with enthusiastic fans.
According to a press release issued by Nepalaya, the managing company of Nepathya, the band opened the concert with their popular song Koshiko Pani, instantly energising the crowd with their ever-charming and dynamic stage presence.
The performance was enjoyed not only by the Nepali community but also by many foreigners, who equally appreciated the band’s music.
This US tour marks a month-long musical journey for Nepathya, targeting seven American cities.
The tour began on May 17 in Austin, Texas. After performing in Seattle, Los Angeles and Pittsburgh, the band arrived in Chicago for their 5th show.
In Chicago, Nepathya performed a mix of their timeless hits and patriotic songs. They also delighted the audience with their recently released track, Karnalika Chhaila. During the performance, lead vocalist Amrit Gurung spoke on a range of topics from Nepal’s tourism potential to social justice and the responsibilities of the younger generation toward their homeland.
On stage, Amrit Gurung was joined by Dhruva Lama on drums, Subin Shakya on bass guitar, Niraj Gurung on guitar, Shanti Rayamajhi on madal (a traditional drum), and Dinesh Raj Regmi on keyboard.
Nepathya will head to Boston, Massachusetts, where they are scheduled to perform at the ‘Royal Boston’ hall on Wednesday. Following that, they will travel to Greensboro, North Carolina, for their final concert of the US tour, which will be held at Piedmont Hall on the evening of June 14.
A total of 14 members, including managers, technicians and artists, are part of Nepathya’s touring team in the US.
