Global IME Bank marks Environment Day collecting plastic garbage, planting trees

By TRN Online, Kathmandu, June 9: Global IME Bank has organized a hiking programme along with plastic collection on the occasion of World Environment Day.

The daylong hiking started from Machchhegaun of Kirtipur to Champadevi Temple premises, and along the route the hikers collected plastic related garbage strewn around the path.

Some 150 kg of plastic garbage was collected during the hiking which was organized in partnership with Kirtipur Municipality and Nepal Red Cross Society, Kirtipur, according to the press note of the bank.


Meanwhile, the bank also conducted tree plantation programme across the country to mark World Environment Day.

The bank has a target to plant 18,000 plants to celebrate its 18th anniversary this year.
