By Dharbendra Jha, Janakpurdham, June 4: Forty teenage girls were trained in digital financial literacy and entrepreneurship on Wednesday under the Child Marriage Prohibition and Girls' Education Promotion Project, run by LIFE Nepal in eight local levels of Dhanusha in coordination with the local and Madhesh province governments.

With the support of Girls First Fund, Life Nepal, in collaboration with Global IME Bank, provided training on the use of technology to 40 teenage girls studying in grades 8 to 10 in Janakpurdham, the capital of Madhesh Province, said Project Chief of the Child Marriage Prohibition and Girls' Education Promotion Project, Dolly Sharma.

Stating that various types of cybercrime incidents occur against teenage girls due to a lack of technical knowledge, Life Nepal Chairperson Surai Thakur said that after receiving this type of training, teenage girls can also protect themselves from cybercrime incidents.

Chairperson Thakur expressed the view that after the representative girls who participated in the training received the training, they would teach other girls about the topics they had learned, which would empower them.
