By Our Correspondent,Khandbari, June 4The vibrant bougainvillea, gulmohar and jacaranda flowers blooming at Pathak Gaun, in Khandbari Municipality-8 of Sankhuwasabha, have started attracting domestic tourists.

With the onset of summer, the colorful bougainvillea and jacaranda flowers adorning local gardens have enhanced the beauty of the village.

The Bougainvillea plant in the courtyard of local resident Umesh Shrestha has become a major attraction. Nearly five hundred domestic tourists visit the site daily.

Visitors are enjoying the shade of the bougainvillea, taking photographs, creating TikTok videos, and sharing their experiences on social media. The deep red and golden blossoms have created a captivating atmosphere throughout the area.

“This tree was originally planted just for decoration,” said Shrestha. “But now, we are witnessing a crowd of people coming to stroll through the village.” According to him, the number of visitors increases significantly on Saturdays and public holidays.

As Bougainvillea and jacaranda flowers begin to bloom in other parts of the village as well, the entire area has taken on a vibrant hue. This transformation has not only enhanced the natural beauty of the village but also boosted tourist numbers.

Experts suggest that if local authorities and stakeholders take initiatives to promote these natural attractions, there is strong potential for tourism development in the Khandbari area.
