One held with 12 kg of silver

BY A STAFF REPORTER,Kathmandu, May 29: One person has been arrested in Kathmandu with 12 kilograms of silver.

On Monday night, a person was apprehended at the Nagdhunga checkpoint in Chandragiri Municipality-2 with 12.176 kilograms of silver.

A team deployed from the Nagdhunga Police Office arrested 32-year-old Anish Kumar Singh, the assistant driver of a bus (registration number Ba.Pr 01-003 Kha 3701) coming to Kathmandu from Birgunj, Parsa.

Singh is a resident of Kalaiya Sub-Metropolitan City-4 in Bara district.

According to Superintendent of Police (SP) Apil Raj Bohora of the District Police Range, Kathmandu, Singh had hidden silver chains, moon-shaped pendants, anklets, and other items in the bus. No invoices were found for the silver recovered from him.Police are conducting further investigations into the case.
