By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, May 27: Three senior literary figures are going to be honoured on the occasion of the anniversary of Madhupark, a monthly literary magazine published by the Gorkhapatra Corporation.
As part of the celebration, which will take place on June 13, 2025 (Jestha 30), three contributors to Nepali literature will be recognised with the Madhupark Samman 2082 in three categories--Madhupark Samman 2082 (poetry), Madhupark Samman 2082 (prose) and Madhupark Samman 2082 (open talent).
According to Madhupark's Acting Editor, Tribhuwan Chandra Wagle, a subcommittee was formed on May 20 to select the awardees. The committee was chaired by Professor Krishna Gautam, with Wagle as a member and Laxmi Khatiwada as member-secretary.
As per the committee's recommendation, the Madhupark Samman 2082 (Poetry category) will be awarded to poet Gyan Udas. The Madhupark Samman 2082 (Prose category) will go to the storyteller Dhruba Sapkota, and the Madhupark Samman 2082 (Open Talent category) will be presented to storyteller Padmavati Singh.
Each award will carry a cash prize of Rs. 50,000 and a certificate of honour.
