Minister Gurung inspects GC’s Kohalpur publication office

By Siraj Khan,Nepalgunj, May 13: Minister for Communication and Information Technology, Prithvi Subba Gurung, conducted an on-site inspection of the Western Publication Office of Gorkhapatra Corporation (GC) in Kohalpur on Sunday evening.

While en-route to Surkhet, the capital of Karnali Province, Minister Gurung visited the Western Publication Office of the GC located in Kohalpur-3, Maitahawa, late Sunday evening. 

Minister Gurung, who is also the government spokesperson, inspected the publication office, printing press, and other related infrastructure.

On the occasion, he said that the government is working with public service as its top priority and emphasised that government media outlets should also remain dedicated to serving the people and the nation.

He said that special attention is being given to the modernisation of Gorkhapatra and that the corporation itself should take a proactive role in this initiative.

During the visit, the Corporation’s Executive Chairperson Bishnu Subedi, General Manager Lal Bahadur Airi, Acting Head of the Planning Department Bhagirath Basnet, and Acting Head of the Kohalpur Publication Office Meera Sharma welcomed the Minister and provided detailed information about the Western Publication Office.
