Pedestrian killed in truck accident on East-West Highway
Bagmati, May 2: A pedestrian died after being hit by a truck in Manahari Rural Municipality-8 along the East-West Highway.
According to the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Shyam Aryal, spokesperson of the District Police Office, said that 70-year-old Ganga Bahadur Syangtan of Raksirang Rural Municipality-9 died after being hit by a truck (Na 5 Kha 7712) en route Chitwan from Hetauda.
Syangtan was hit by a truck while crossing the road this morning. He died on the spot.
The truck and its driver have been taken into custody.
