Barahathawa, April 22: Total 28
beekeepers have been provided beehives in a bid to foster commercial beekeeping
in Sarlahi district.
The beekeepers were handed over 532
hives and other accessories amidst a programme organized on Monday.
In collaboration with Nepal
Apiarists' Federation Sarlahi chapter, an organization stationed at Bardibas
provided the materials.
Chairman of the Federation, Dambar
Dev Pande, informed that 28 farmers keeping bees in Chure region- Lalbandi,
Ishworpur, Hariwan and Bagmati- were handed over the beehives. The beehives and
other materials were however provided in grant.
Apiarist Hemraj Devkota informed
that he even received a machine used to make an enclosure for bees.
During the distribution programme,
Mayor at Hariwan municipality, Hari Maya Ghalan, informed that the scheme would
contribute to sustainable development of apiary. (RSS)
