Within a short time of its release, the official music video has garnered over 1.2 million views on YouTube. On TikTok alone, more than 50,000 users have created videos using the song.
The song has already become one of the trending hits in the Nepali film industry. Meanwhile, the film’s production company, Artmandu, has embraced the digital trend by introducing the film’s characters through short videos on platforms like TikTok, Facebook, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
Lead characters Parikshya Limbu and Alex Paras are first seen dancing together in the Kafle music video.
In the film, Parikshya and Alex portray Dambar Kafle and Iksha Limbu from Nawamidanda in Panchthar.
However, the official music video features popular actors Bipin Karki and Miruna Magar instead.
Sharing the character glimpses, Artmandu informed, “We believe this sneak peek will deepen your curiosity and love for the characters of Woolen Sweater. We hope for your continued support in this warm journey of creativity.”
Director Nabin Chauhan said the decision to introduce characters through digital platforms reflects the necessity of embracing modern technology.
He further added, “The short videos released as character intros have already reached millions in a short time and have been very well received. Had we introduced the characters through posters, we likely wouldn’t have achieved such a wide and quick reach. Embracing new technology is now a necessity.”
