By A Staff Reporter,Kathmandu, Apr. 12: Two Nepali films, Karma and Pitambar, were released in theaters across Nepal on Friday.
Both are action genre films, with Karma starring Bipin Karki and Pitambar featuring Pradeep Khadka.
Karma is directed by Saurabh Chaudhary, who gained attention for his direction of Agastya: Chapter 1.
Timed with the Nepali New Year 2082, the film is being screened in around 150 shows across Kathmandu and other regions.
The film stars Bipin Karki, Upasana Singh Thakuri, Mukun Bhusal, Divya Dev Pan, Sarita Giri, Ben Basnet, Sujan Silwal, Anil Budhathoki and Nirmal Sharma, among others.
The story of Karma was written by director Chaudhary himself.
On the other hand, Pitambar is directed by Krisha Chaulagain and features artists including Pradeep Khadka, Dayahang Rai, Saugaat Malla, Aaryan Sigdel, Anoop Bikram Shahi, Surakshya Panta, Gauri Malla, Rabindra Jha, Pramod Agrahari and more.
Meanwhile, the Indian action film Jaat, starring Sunny Deol, was released a day earlier, on Thursday.
Films like Basanta, Anjila, and the Bollywood film Sikandar are also currently being screened in Nepali cinema theatres.
