Kshetra Pratap Memorial Literary Award to Sarubhakta

By Our Correspondent,Tanahun, Mar. 29: The Kshetra Pratap Memorial Literary Award, established in memory of poet Kshetra Pratap Adhikary, will be presented to writer Sarubhakta. 

 Kshetra Pratap Adhikary, who was known by the Pseudonym ‘Gaunbesi Ka Kabi’, was born in Tanahun. 

Geetal Pratisthan Nepal and Natak Manch Tanahun will present this year’s Kshetra Pratap Memorial Literary Award at the Nepal Academy in Kamaladi, Kathmandu, on April 12.

  According to Akash Acharya, the chairman of the Manch, the award will be given to academician Sarubhakta in recognition of his contribution to the advancement of Nepali literature. 

The Kshetra Pratap Memorial Literary Award carries a purse of  Rs. 25,000.

 The award will be presented on the occasion of poet Acharya’s Memorial Day, he said.

Similarly, the Sardar Yadunath Khanal Honor will be awarded to Dr. Bhesh Bahadur Thapa, with a cash prize of Rs. 25,000.

 Likewise, the ‘Nepal Adhirajya Ma Tanahun Wangmaya Puraskar’ will be presented to Dr. Satya Prakash Tiwari from Kolkata, India, with a cash prize of Rs. 25,000.

Additionally, the Geetal National Award, worth Rs. 10,000, will be awarded to Om Rijal from Dailekha, while the Geetal Talent Award, with a cash prize of   Rs. 5,000, will be given to Narayan Kailash Sigdel from Bhimad Municipality.
