Shahi honoured with Photojournalist Award

Kathmandu, Mar. 23: Gorkhapatra Online photo journalist, Manoj Ratna Shahi, has been honoured with ‘Babu Raja Photo Journalist Award-2024.’

Amid a programme organised on the occasion of the 13th General Assembly of the National Forum of Newa Journalist in Kathmandu on Saturday, Bagmati Province Minister for Labour, Employment and Transport, Prembhakta Maharjan, presented Shahi with the award and letter of appreciation. This award is handed over annually to journalists actively working in the field of Nepal Bhasa journalism.  

Active in the media field since 2001, Shahi has been significantly contributing to Nepal Bhasa journalism and photojournalism. On the occasion, five other individuals were also honoured for their contributions to Nepal Bhasa journalism.  

At the event, Navin Joshi received the ‘Gyandevi Mani Memorial Award’ and Jujuman Maharjan was honoured with the ‘Satyamohan Joshi Literary Centenary Award’. Likewise, Ramraja Bajracharya was awarded with the ‘Bhikshu Kumar Kashyap Memorial Journalism Award’, Suresh Saiju with the ‘Gyanjyoti Laxmiprabha Memorial Journalism Award’ and Nisha Shrestha with the ‘Shreeram Memorial Journalism Award.’
