Two arrested on two different rape charges in Baitadi

By Keshav Raj Bhatt, Baitadi, Mar.10: Two people have been arrested on two different rape charges of a minor girl in Baitadi. 

A 30-year-old man from Shivanath Rural Municipality of Baitadi district has been arrested on charge of raping a 15-year-old minor girl.

According to Police Inspector Baldev Badu of DPO, Baitadi, he man was arrested on Sunday based on a complaint that he raped a girl last December. 

Badu said that the investigation is underway by extending the remand by 10 more days. 

Similarly, a 25-year-old man from Melauli Municipalityhas also been arrested on charges of raping a 16-year-old girl.

The man was arrested on Sunday after a complaint was filed that he had raped the girl in June/July 2023.

 The arrested man has been kept in remand of the Area Police Office, Patan. 

Police Inspector Badu said that preparations are underway to bring him to the district for an extension of his remand from the district court.
