Kavrepalanchowk, March 10: The 'Respect to Labour – Campaign of Nation' has been put in place in Namobuddha municipality of Kavrepalanchowk under the Prime Minister Employment Programme.
As part of the programme, the municipality has conducted orientation to the local users' committees besides regular monitoring of the schemes.
The Municipal Employment Service Center has imparted information and orientation on the Prime Minister's Employment Programme and application process to be registered in the list of unemployed persons.
Coordinator of the Centre, Amrit Khanal shared that the programme was organized in all 11 wards with the participation of local people's representatives, civil society, ward committee, local directive committee and other stakeholders of the municipality.
According to Khanal, training on plumbing and carpentering will be conducted from March 15 to those included in the 40 unemployed list after selecting training providers for conducting workplace-based skill development training.
Earlier, 65 unemployed people were provided 100 days of employment through ward-wise schemes in partnership with different wards of the municipality, the Centre informed. (RSS)
