553 locals benefit from health camp in Kalikot

Manma (Kalikot), March 7: A total of 553 locals benefited from a two-day free health camp run in Naraharinath Rural Municipality, Kalikot.

The health camp was organized by the Health Service Office, Kalikot, at Yogi Naraharinath Basic Hospital in Kumalgaun in coordination with the local government.

Officer of the Health Service Office Katak Bahadur Mahat stated that screening for non-communicable diseases, including cervical cancer, was conducted for free. 

According to Mahat, five people were diagnosed with asthma, 14 with high blood pressure, and five with diabetes.

He added that four individuals were diagnosed with cancer during cervical and breast cancer screenings, while three others were suspected of having cervical cancer.

Likewise, altogether 292 women received health care services for uterine prolapse. (RSS)
