18 injured in Kavre road mishap

By Kedar Timalsina, Banepa, Feb.25: 18 passengers have sustained injuries when a passenger bus met with an accident in Sharada Batase Dhulikhel Municipality-10 of Kavrepalanchok district under BP highway.

District Police Office Kavre said that 17 passengers got injured when the passenger bus (Bagmati Province-03-01-005 Kha 9942), en route from Kathmandu to Ramechhap, went out of control and overturned on the road ditch.

According to the police, 18 people including the driver and co-driver got injured in the bus that was carrying 24 passengers. The injured are undergoing treatment at Dhulikhel Hospital.

Police said that the identity of the injured is yet to be ascertained. 

Police inspector Dinesh Kunwar said that the condition of seven people injured in the accident is moderate while the remaining others are in normal condition.

 He said that the injured have suffered minor injuries. 

According to the Police, BP highway is operational.
