Rs 390 million allocated for lifting water project at Panchan

By Santosh Rawat, Solukhumbu, Feb.17: A budget source of 390 million rupees has been allocated for the operation of a water supply project in Panchan of Thulung Dudhkoshi Rular Municipality-3 of Solukhumbu District. 

The budget was received at the initiative of the Chairperson of Thulung Dudhkoshi Rural Municipality Asim Rai, to solve the water scarcity in Panchan, where there is an extreme water shortage. 

To solve the drinking water problem in Panchan, which is a drought-affected area of the district, it is said that the work for the operation of the lifting water supply project has started with the confirmation of the budget from the federal water supply project Khotang.

Rai said that the work has started in line with solving the drinking water problem of Panchan. 

He said that the work has progressed not only in the rural municipality but also in Panchan, a drought-affected area of the district, with the plan to distribute water using lifting technology from the Dudhkoshi River. 

Even though it was said to provide drinking water through this technology for a long time, it could not be done due to a lack of sufficient budget. 

Chairman Rai said that he is working on a priority to solve the drinking water problem of the municipality, which is an important part of development.

The people of Panchan are elated after the water supply.

It is said that a discussion was held between the head of the Federal Water Supply Project Khotang, Sunil Tiwari, and the people's representative and technician of the rural municipality to proceed with the project.
