BY OUR CORRESPONDENT,Kaski, Feb. 16: The shooting of the highly anticipated film Balidan has been completed. Directed by Santosh Sen, the filming was wrapped up in just four months.
Director Sen stated that no compromises were made during the film's production to ensure it would be a ‘great movie.’ In a Facebook post, he wrote: "Throughout the various phases of making Balidan, we did not compromise at any stage in our effort to create a 'great movie.' We crafted the storyline better than we initially imagined and made more refined choices than expected in terms of casting, technical aspects and technology. After battling through four months of challenging circumstances and working tirelessly day and night, we’ve completed the filming phase, achieving results 100 times better than we originally envisioned. There will be no compromises during the upcoming editing phase either."
The final scene of the film was shot in the Hasina Wetland area in Morang. According to Sen, the post-production work of the film will begin in the coming days.
Samir Bhatt, who made his debut with Bahra Gaun, plays the lead role in Balidan.
The film’s action sequences were choreographed by the renowned South Indian action director Stander Sam. The production budget is reported to have reached Rs. 70 million. However, the release date has not yet been finalised. The production team plans to announce the release date through a teaser in the coming weeks.
